In 2000 I was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. This blog details the trials and tribulations of how this disease has progressed and how it has affected me personally.
In June of 2000, through an annual physical blood test, I was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). In my case, the progression of the disease was slow, with very few symptoms and no changes in my outward appearance, there was not much indication that there was anything at all wrong with me.
The studies that have been done over the years have not shown any increases in survival rates if you get treated immediately, or get treated once a certain threshold is reached. I chose to not begin treatment until it was absolutely necessary.
If you want to know more about my adventure, just read thru the posts (starting at the earliest date).
